Hertfordshire has a few really cool gardens to go and visit including the Queen’s Mother at St Paul’s Walden Bury!

Gotha Gardens is a new-ish garden and well worth a visit for its woodland and wildlife walks.

The Henry More Studios and Gardens are ideal for active kids as they are positively encouraged to climb and touch the outside sculptures. So refreshing!

And the Hatfield House and Gardens ticks many boxes for those wanting to see gardens, take a woodland walks and see deer and then shop!

Some of the gardens are dog friendly but always check before you go!

Created in 1990 the Gotha Gardens are a wonderful mix of woodland and wildlife walks (great for kids), rose gardens (over 150 varieties), ever changing spaces, a topiary and more formal gardens.

Keep an eye out in the summer for the many butterflies.

And a lot of people comment how the garden is a good size for walking with plenty of seating to pause and take in the scenic views. More Details here

Over the years he transformed the farmland into the gardens, fields and woodland you see today.

What is great about these gardens is that you are actively encouraged to touch and feel the sculptures. Great for children. No pet dogs. More Details here
