The American Museum & Gardens are set in 125 acres of rolling landscape designed to represent key elements of American landscape design.

Opened in 1961 by Anglo/American couple Dallas Pratt and John Judkyn. Now Grade 2 listed.

There is a replica from George Washington’s house outside Washington, DC and plenty of scope for exploring including a children’s garden and trails.

For the kids there is a play area, events and crafts and the American Garden Deli has kids menus. Ice creams all round!

At Christmas watch out for The Enchanted Garden of Light! An amazing Winter lights display!

American Deli

Featuring homemade American style food and drink using locally produced produce.

There are children’s menus here as well.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm (last entry 4 pm)
