About Audley End House & Gardens
Audley End House & Gardens are the work of Capability Brown and now contain some essential micro gardens to visit.
There is the restored Parterre (182 beds) and the Organic Walled Kitchen Garden where the produce is used by the in house catering teams, sold to the public or donated to the local organic box scheme. Nice!
Other gardens include the Elysia Garden (Greek inspired) an The Pond Garden inspired by mountains of the Lake district and Switzerland.
For the children take a walk to the 1830s Nursery Wing where an indoor play area lets them run loose. Maybe dress up as a Victorian Child and they are even allowed on the beds!! There is an outdoor play area as well.
The parklands offer a chance to explore the Essex countryside and walk the dog. And walk through ime tree Avenue to the Temple of Concord. Cool.
There are two cafes (The Tearoom and The Cart Yard Café) and a shop to enable you to feel refreshed before you buy some souvenirs!
And a second hand bookstore – browse ‘n’ buy! And some stables to go and say hi to the horses.
As you can see there is a lot to do for all the family.
