About Avebury Manor and Garden

Avebury Manor is a 16th Century manor house and the gardens are a more formal style.

The whole site is a World Heritage Site with Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial and mortuary practices.

Highlights of the garden include the various ‘rooms’ including the Kitchen Garden with organically grown produce, The Monk’s Garden with potager style planting, the Church Garden, Topiary Garden, Lavender Walk, Orchard, Italian Walk and Half-Moon Garden so called for its wall shaped to help climbers grow!

Of course you have to see the Stone circles and henge, the biggest in the world!

And newish on the South Lawn is the Sensory Woodland Walk – I love this style of garden!

The gardens are all super photogenic so take your camera or have your phone ready!

As well as the gardens, there is a Cafe serving light lunches, Cobblestones second hand Bookshop and a Shop selling gifts for the home and garden.

Dogs, on a lead, are welcome everywhere apart from the Stone Circles Cafe.
