About the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden

This information is just a snapshot to get you intrigued – best to visit the website for full details!

The Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden for me was a real eye opener when I first went there over 20 years ago.

I didn’t know much about her or her work – or Ben Nicolson.

That soon changed and if you visit I hope you are as inspired by the gardens and studio/house as I was.

Can’t recommend it enough!

I loved how the studio felt like she was still working there.

Was glad to see that my memory of this was correct – see the video below.

The gardens are great, lots of sculptures still in position where she placed them.

It’s a magical place and you can see why she fell in love with it.

Ps – ended up buying one of her ‘trial run’ prints from a local gallery which is still very much cherished. Be warned!

Assistance dogs are very welcome
