About Benvarden Gardens
Benvarden Gardens are set in the landscaped grounds on the banks of the River Bush.
The gardens are ideal for a walk taking in the walled gardens with the roses, boxed hedges and hydrangeas.
Watch out for wildlife including Red Squirrels and Kingfishers and the snowdrops walk in early Spring.
Pass over the super Victorian cast iron bridge and the River Bush to the Stable Tearoom for homemade lunches, cakes and pastries.
The Benvarden Nurseries have potted trees and shrubs for sale.
At the time of writing some areas not mentioned are under restoration, as is often the way, so bear that in mind.

Don’t take our word for how genuinely super these gardens are. Here is what visitors to Benvarden Gardens had to say:
“We had a lovely walk around the gardens admiring all the snowdrops.
This was followed by a very nice cup of tea and a bun in the Stableyard Cafe.”
“A lovely visit with the family. Although it rained, with good wellies, we had a great adventure walking through the gardens and meadows visiting the pond, bear, and victorian bridge.
All followed by a lovely scone and coffee in the tea room.”
“Had a lovely time here wandering round the garden. Beautiful even though it was raining.
A good selection of plants – clearly a plants man’s garden some unusual specimens which I find more interesting. “
