Opening Days: The Castle & Gardens are open from April to September on Wednesday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday – check below!
Opening Times: 2pm – 5pm
Admission Prices: Adults £13, Children 5 to 15 years £8, Under 5’s Free – Garden entry only £8
The Park is open most days of the year and is an Historic Houses member.

Top Tip: The Castle is not heated so dress accordingly!

What Visitors like about Broughton Castle Gardens

Visitors really liked the gardens and moat and describing them as tranquil and picturesque and ideal for sitting, wandering and taking photographs.

Many visitors note the excellent café, especially the homemade cakes, cream teas and scones, which round off the visit perfectly.


The castle was described as beautiful, authentic and full of history, praising its superb preservation, atmospheric interiors and the rare chance to explore a lived-in historic home.

About Broughton Castle Gardens

Broughton Castle Gardens, home to the Fiennes family, has several wonderful features for you enjoy.

From the Gatehouse by the Moat and the Ladies Garden with special borders, to the Garden Wall and the Roses in the fleur de lys bed.

The Castle has a number of rooms to view including the Great Hall, Dining Room, Ok Room, King’s Chamber, Queen Anne’s room and Chapel.

The Stables Tea Room is open for refreshments from 1.30pm to 5.30pm and are free to enter.

And there is a small shop with gifts to purchase.

Private group visits can be arranged throughout the year.

And watch out, you may see TV or films (Wolf Hall, The Crown) being shot here!
