About Bury St Edmunds Hidden Gardens

What lies therein?
The Bury St. Edmunds Hidden Gardens will be in its 38th year in 2025 and there are now 30 gardens taking part each year.

The gardens are all within walking distance of each other. Bear in mind some steps may be uneven so take care.

While you are at the event you can check out secret patios, lawns, borders, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and other features behind their facades and high walls.

Over £22,000 was raised in 2023 for the St. Nicholas Hospice Care.

Refreshments and entertainment are available.

Proceeds

The proceeds of the open day are donated to the St. Nicholas Hospice Care.

Tickets can be bought from the gazebo on Angel Hill from 10.30 am and also via the website. See below.

There are local plant sales available from a number of the participating gardens.

Refreshments are available during this event from various gardens as well as some live entertainment.

Toilet Facilities

Yes, there are toilets at the event and marked on the map and also there are public toilets in the Abbey Gardens on Angel Hill.

Check with the organisers.

Parking

Parking is available at some of the car parks including those at Angel Hill, Ram Meadow and Shire Hall which is off Honey Hill.
