About Castle Fraser Garden
Castle Fraser Garden is well known for its walled garden which is packed full of herbs, medicinal borders, fruit and vegetables. And smells divine!
A newly added Orchard is home to some unusual apple varieties.
The wider estate has some great walks and monkey puzzle trees of over 200 years old.
There are a couple of waymarked walks for you to follow including Alton Brae trail which takes you through woodland and to a pond where you can spot dragonflies.
As for wildlife keep an eye out for Castle Frasers Fantastic Five. Which are damselfly’s, badgers, otters, dragonfly and the long tailed tit. How many can you spot?
A newly refurbished tearoom serves produce straight from the walled garden!
And a shop for all your gifty needs and a second hand bookstore.
For children there is the Woodland Secrets adventure playground with wooden sculptures, a tree hut and a giant xylophone.
Dogs are allowed in all areas but must be on a lead in the Walled Garden & Courtyard.
Don’t miss out on a tour of the 15th Century Castle with amazing views over the Estate and parklands.
