About Claremont Landscape Garden
Claremont Landscape Garden is steeped in over 300 years of history with many famous landscapers including Capability Brown, stamping their mark on the grounds.
Nowadays you can expect to see the Camellia Terrace which is best viewed from January to May, the recently restored North Terrace with super views, Grotto and Belvedere Tower.
Take a walk to the large grassed 3 acre Amphitheatre with views down to the Lake, an ideal spot for a picnic, and where during the summer you can hire rowboats.
There are two children’s play areas with the one by the lake suitable for those up to 11 years and the Badger’s Basecamp, a natural play area.
As well as the garden you will also find the Cafe serving hot and cold drinks, light lunches with seating indoor and out.
There are many events during the year from guided walks, Easter Egg Hunts and photography classes.
Accessibility at Claremont Garden
Generally accessible but some areas are uneven and can be boggy underfoot. An accessible map is available for the lake. Full details here.
Dogs at Claremont Landscape Garden
Dogs on short leads are allowed in many areas all year round apart from the children’s play area, Badger’s Basecamp or in the lake.
