About Cotehele Gardens

Cotehele Gardens is a National Trust property with the garden set in 1,300 acres of estate land.

Get ready to explore the trails, working farms, industrial ruins and wildlife.

As for the gardens there are 14 acres and 12 acres of Orchards for you to enjoy all year round.

There are a number of features to enjoy like the Cut Flower Garden in summer, Upper Garden with a pond, the Valley Garden with a thatched Victorian summerhouse, a medieval stewpond and dovecote – hopefully with doves!

There is an Old Mill and workshop located by the Morden stream.

For the kids there are a couple of play areas, one by the house and one by Cotehele Quay.

Speaking of the house this is full of interesting items such as the whale jawbones, turret clock and mechanical arm!

As well as the gardens and house you can get refreshments at the Barn Cafe including lunches, and snacks and drinks from the Edgcumbe at Cotehele Quay.

There is a shop and gallery, plant shop and second hand bookstore.

Dogs at Cotehele Gardens

Dogs on short leads only are allowed in the estate, parts of gardens and Cafe.

Worth checking their dog policy as it may change.
