About Crathes Castle & Gardens

Crathes Castle & Gardens make a stunning backdrop for any visit.

The Castle is open to view and the gardens are a great combination of Arts & Crafts inspired walled gardens, nature trails.

The walled gardens are split in 8 areas including pools, fountains, themed borders and roses.

Do see the newly opened Evolution Garden, showcasing plant development through time. Interesting! 

With plenty of wildlife to spot along the way including red squirrels, pine martin, roe deer, woodpeckers and herons.

For the younger children there is the Wild Wood Adventure Play which has zip wires, sandpits, slides and high level walkways.

For refreshments go to Café 1702 which has plenty for adults children and dogs – seating inside and out.

Dogs are welcome.
