About Croft Castle and Parkland

Croft Castle and Parkland is 1,500 acres of historic land with ancient trees, iron age fort, woodlands and farmland.

The gardens are actually a walled garden complete with its own small vineyard which is cool.

There are lots of fruit and vegetable borders producing food to be enjoyed in the Carpenters Tea Room.

For children there is the Castle play area and a natural play area with rope swings and balance beams.

In the parkland you can explore using any of the five marked trails and watching out for wildlife such as deer, otters and bats.

As well as the Castle and gardens there is the Carpenter’s tea-room serving snacks and a second hand bookshop.

And at Christmas they light up the Castle, gardens, trees and gothic arch.

Dogs on short leads are welcome in the gardens but not in the Castle
