About Culpeper Community Garden
Culpeper Community Garden is set in the heart of Islington in North London and describes itself as an ‘an island of biodiversity in the inner city’.
Hidden by high walls and trees you will not really get a feel for the garden until you step inside. A real oasis awaits!
From lawns and ponds, to a rockery, a wisteria and rose-covered arch and the wildlife garden there is an abundance of styles in the communal areas.
You then get to see the 49 individual plots which are curated by the volunteers, reflecting their own unique approach to gardening.
Take a seat on one of the many benches or head to the Tea Hut for a cup or tea!

Wildlife at Culpeper
There is a rich variety of plants like nettles and brambles which provide year round nectar for bees, butterflies, moths and hoverflies.
Ivy-clad trees offer shelter and nest sites for birds such as long tailed tits, blackbirds and robins.
And the pond is home to frogs, toads and smooth newts.
