About the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is actually 23 individual gardens, each with its own identity and personality.
There are two Signature Gardens; Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden and A Tasteful Place which is a 3.5 acre ornamental garden with a pavilion and kitchen with free daily tastings and cooking demos.
The other gardens offer a wide variety of tastes and styles from the restful, modern take in A Woman’s Garden with its infinity pooland cool sculpture.
To the, perhaps more traditional, Chandler Lindsley Shadow Garden with its lawns and mature trees offering shade and ideal for a stroll!
I was taken with the Crape Myrtle Allee which is a natural tunnel of crape myrtle trees leading to the ever popular Toad Corner!
Do take time to visit The Trial Gardens which act as a research area for plants to thrive in the North Texas climate.
This is just scratching the surface of the many gardens you are able to see and enjoy here.
There are a number of dining options available including Seated Tea and Lunch at the DeGolyer Tea Room.
The Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace offers quick service sandwiches, Café on the Green has casual family dining and Paseo Bites is open during good weather.
Only licensed service animals are allowed in the garden.
