About Dunvegan Castle and Gardens

Dunvegan Castle and Gardens are a five acre formal landscaped gardens including a Water Garden, Rose Garden, Walled Garden and Woodland Walks.

There are exotic plants, specimen trees, pools, streams and waterfalls flowing down to the sea.

Watch out for the famous Dunvegan Pebble which is actually a 2.7 tonne rotating marble sculpture – so much for being a pebble!

For children there is the Wild Wood Trail, wildwood play area featuring a willow tunnel and ‘The Bugvegan Insect Hotel’ – cool.

You will get some great Instagram shots of the castle and gardens.

And don’t forget to try some seal spotting which is free for the under 5’s.

Refreshments are available at MacLeod Tables Cafe is (open daily 10am – 5pm) and in summer there is an ice cream trike out and abouit!

Dogs are allowed everywhere on a lead apart from inside the castle where assistance dogs are allowed.
