About East Riddlesden Hall Garden
East Riddlesden Hall Garden has a number of unique areas for you to see with planting interest all year round.
From the Formal Garden with its perennials and climbing ivy to mollies Garden with cut flowers and compost and the wild Garden with active wildlife and wildflowers.
Take a stroll to the Herb Border where you can touch, smeel and taste a wide variety of herbs.
There is also a good walk down to the River Aire where dogs can be let of their leads but keep them under control as there may be livestock around.
The Hall and Great Barn are a great insight into 17th Centry design with plasterwork, wood carvings and panelling to be seen.
The house was pretty empty when the National Trust took over but now has lots of objects and furnishing to show what life would have been like in the 17th Century.
The Great Barn is ‘one of the finest barns in the north of England’ and maintains many of its 17th Century features..
The are two Play Areas including the Mud Kitchen with a wooden structures and the Trim trail with balancing beams.
As well as the Hall and Gardens there is a lovely Tearoom selling homemade cakes, lunches and drinks.
The Shop ha arange of local homeware products and there is a secondhand bookstore as well.

Dogs on short leads are allowed in the gardens but not the play areas.
