About Greenway House & Gardens
Greenway House & Gardens was the holiday home of the author Agatha Christie.
The Walled Gardens, North and South, are the centrepiece of the gardens home to seasonal borders, cut flowers and the Peach House.
Look out for the grapes and Gazebo in the south Garden!
There is a Fernery, a Napoleonic Battery and Boathouse with superb views of the River Dart complete with benches to take a wee rest!
While you are there you can do some bird spotting and keep an eye open for seals and kingfishers.
Also check out the family pet cemetery and the Clock Golf lawn.
As well as the gardens there is a shop, second hand bookshop, plant shop and the Barn Café, a 1950’s styled ice cream parlour serving snacks in the summer.
Assistance dogs only in the house. Dogs on leads are welcome in the garden, boathouse, shop and café which is cool.
You can of course have a look inside Greenway House to see what treasures Agatha Christie and her family collected.
And you can play her piano if you like!
