Hessle Open Gardens 2026 showcases 20 varied gardens, from classic Edwardian to modern and quirky designs.

Visitors can explore via a free minibus route, enjoy refreshments, plant sales and support local charities including the Dove House Hospice.

Tickets Information: Map/tickets can be bought at any garden displaying a “Garden Open” notice and balloons.

A draft map can be obtained as a PDF via our email or Facebook, available from two weeks before the opening date.

About Hessle Open Gardens

Hessle open gardens have 20 gardens for you to see in 2026 and range from mature Edwardian gardens to small modern styles.

Expect to see quirky and wild takes on gardening!

The gardens are spread out a bit so there is a free mini bus which takes bout 20 minutes to complete its route.

The route is marked on your tickets/map as are refreshments which include BBQ, cakes and drinks.

And there are plant sales in number of the gardens.

Half the proceeds to Dove House Hospice and the remainder to nine various local charities including Hessle Community Centre and Scout Group.

Toilets are available at this event.

Parking & Directions

Please park in the Humber Bridge Country Park which is near the Humber Wellbeing Hub.

Use our free minibus which will take you to and from the gardens on a circular route every 20 minutes or so.
