About Highdown Gardens
Highdown Gardens is a smashing local authority run garden as the gardens were gifted to the community in the late 1960’s.
Today there are a number of superb featured gardens for you to see such as the Rose Garden, Sensory Garden, Chalk Pits, Millenium Garden and Rock Garden and Ponds.
for those looking for a bit more excercise there are marked trails including the Beech Walk.
There is a visitor centre, performance area and a picnic area.
As well as the gardens there is a Pop Up Shop selling a range of herbaceous, succulents, climbers, shrubs and trees – open in the Glasshouse when volunteers are available!
And look out for events such as the Snowdrop Tours, Cutting Workshops and Tours of the Garden!
Refreshments are provided by the Highdown Hotel, Restaurant & Tea Rooms. Yummy!
