About Hill Close Gardens

Hill Close Gardens has been carefully restored over the last 30 years originally established in 1845.

Originally the gardens were an escape for Victorian locals to visit after work.

Now you will find the walled gardens still reflect the individual gardens that were cultivated by the previous gardeners.

And keep an eye out for the new Silent Space that is being created!

The Tea Rooms are open at weekends and Bank Holidays and are free to enter. Great cakes!

As is the plant nursery but check opening times!

You can also arrange private guided tours which last about two hours.

And there are often events taking place from art classes, floristry to open air theatre.

Accessibility at Hill Close Gardens

The gardens are mostly accessible to wheelchair users with some slopes.

Dogs at Hill Close Gardens

Dogs on short leads are allowed in the gardens.
