About Hinton Ampner Gardens
Hinton Ampner Gardens are set in wider estate within the South Downs National Park.
The gardens are a mix of features like the Sunken Garden, Lilly Pond, Walled Garden, Glasshouse, Orchard, Temple and an old Chalk Pit.
The gardens are a lovely tranquil place but if you really want to some peace and quite then search out the Silent Space – marked on your map!
And as well as the gardens there is Shop, Cafe and second hand Bookstore.
There are some smashing walks around the estate and woodlands.
Watch out for wildlife, birds of prey, butterflies, cattle and old Roundhead camping grounds!
Dogs are welcome on short leads throughout the gardens and grounds.
Assistance dogs only in cafe and house.
Speaking of which it costs extra to tour the house as well as the gardens but well worth doing.
