Local Weather for Lanhydrock House & Garden in Bodmin
About Lanhydrock House & Garden
Lanhydrock House & Garden is set in over 1,000 acres of land with the garden covering 30 of those acres.
Famed for its Magnolia trees there are over 200 for you to see and enjoy spred throughout the garden.
While they do flower all of the year the best time is Spring to see them at their very best.
There is large formal garden and Parterre, Borlase’s stream which criss crosses various paths.
And head to the Higher Garden for bit of peace and quiet.
Or head to the benches in the Herbaceous Circle and listen to the bees picking up pollen from the border plants.
The wider parkland has a two mile stretch of the River Fowey and four wonderful trails in the woodlands, including the deer walk, suitable for cycling as well as walking.
Refreshments are available at the Park Café and The Stables Tea Rooms.
There is also a shop, plant shop and second hand bookstore.
The Jacobean mansion is open to be explored with interest, at least for me, in the Kitchen and the Long Gallery plaster ceiling!
There are dressing up activities for the children as well.
