About Low Row Open Gardens
Gardens at a different level
The main feature of these Swaledale gardens is the different levels that are used and the flowers that thrive in the local conditions.
This is in keeping with the way the houses are often built into the side of the hills resulting in stepped garden beds.
Most gardens are within 10 minutes walk of the Low Row Institute.
A couple of gardens are further out and can take 20 minutes to walk to.
But you can drive to those gardens if you would like to do so.
There will be a sale of photographs of the Low Row area in the Village Hall (aka The Low Row Literary Institute) on behalf of the Holy Trinity Church.
There will also be plant sales in the village hall and Sustainable Swaledale will have a stand for you to get more information on their work.
And a couple of craft stalls for you as well!
And best of all there is tea, coffee, soft drinks, cakes and savoury snacks served all day in the hall.
