About Mottistone Gardens
Mottistone Gardens are located in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in a sheltered valley so you get some exotic planting. And great sea views!
Expect to see local native planting as well as unusual drought-resistant plants.
The gardens are also home to the National Trusts only olive grove!
A well known feature is Seely and Paget’s Shack, basically a small stand alone garden room.
And the kitchen garden grows a lot of coastal varieties of vegetables like spaghetti squash, sea kale and samphire.
There is a network of paths across the wider estate for you to explore.
Your dog is ok off the lead but please put them on a short lead near to any livestock.
You can get refreshments, including cakes and sandwiches, from the Tea Garden which is located within the garden .
You can buy plants within the grounds and there is second hand book shop in the manor.
