About Myddelton House Gardens

Myddelton House Gardens is an eight acre garden and was the home to the well known horticulturist EA Bowles.

There really is a lot to see and enjoy at the gardens with some great features like Alpine Meadow, Kitchen Garden, Ornamental Garden, Arboretum, Lawns, and Conservatory.

Also of interest is the Market Cross at the centre of the Rose Garden.

And the Japanese Knotweed, there to show you what to look for!

The Pond and the Fountain offer a quiet space to relax and enjoy the sounds of the garden.

The Bowles Tea Room offer hot and cold refreshments and take away if you fancy having a picnic in the gardens.

And for those who would like to know more about the history of the gardens there is the Bowles Museum, which is just next to the tea room.

There are lots of events taking place at the gardens from easter Art workshops, Opera Nights and Vegetable Growing courses.
