About Nunnington Hall & Garden
The Garden at Nunnington Hall has been run as fully organic since 2002.
Look out for the four-bay composting system, wormery, fruit cages and an organic vegetable patch.
It’s an ideal place to find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the gardens sights and smells.
Areas include an Orchard, Mixed borders, rose borders, spring blossoms and the Iris garden now fully restored.
The gardens run alongside the River Wye so keep an eye out for wildlife like trout, swans and kingfishers – they can be elusive though!
Other wildlife to spot are bees (see them in the observation boxes) and otters.
For families and children there is the Lions Den Play Area (climbing frame) and the bird spotting boxes.
And just in case its raining there are activities to do inside the hall!
As well as the house and gardens there is a bookshop and cafe for refreshments.
Accessibility at Nunnington Hall Garden
The gardens are accessible with gravel, grass and flagstone paths.
Some of the Hall has step only access.

Don’t take our word for how genteel and relaxing these gardens are. Here is what visitors to Nunnington Hall & Garden had to say:
Harriet
“A complete gem of a house with the most beautiful gardens. The Arts and Crafts feel really comes through, and at Easter there were brilliant retro children’s activities scattered around the grounds.”
Stephen
“On a sunny day the most relaxing place to be is in the gardens – picnicking on the manicured lawns is pure joy. If the weather turns, the house is a great backup.”
Ann
“The gardens may be small, but they’re lovely – especially good for roses and fruit at this time of year. An easy place to spend a couple of happy hours.”
Larry
“The garden is great to walk around, and it’s always a pleasure having a wander before stopping for cream tea and cake.”
Mel
“The gardens were the best bit for me. Some lovely roses and peaceful corners that made it a perfect place to spend an afternoon.”
