About Packington Open Gardens
Gardens and Ducks!
Packington Open Gardens have been going for over 30 years and prove very popular with not only the gardens but plenty of other events as well.
Garden styles are country cottage. formal, japanese style, herbaceous borders, sculptures and flowers.
These include cream teas, flowers displays, exhibitions, live music, church bells and a pebble hunt for children.
And don’t forget the duck race!

The Packington Duck Race is a highlight of the open gardens day.
Buy your duck at the roadside stand on Mill Street and at 5,30pm they are launched into the river by Hall Lane Bridge and the first to cross the line at Little Lane footbridge wins! Prizes awarded.
Just pray for rain before the event as in 2022 the drought meant there was no water in the stream!

Proceeds
The proceeds of the open days go towards the upkeep of the historic village church. The duck race proceeds go to charity – quack quack!
Tickets
Tickets / passports are available on the day from the Measham Road car park.
You can also get them at the Village Hall on High Street and from any participating garden.
