About Shugborough Estate Gardens

Shugborough Estate Gardens is set among the parkland and woodland with unique monuments and follies to see.

There is a working farm, the amazing Georgian Mansion and of course the formal gardens.

Speaking of which the gardens comprise of walled garden and pleasure grounds with an arboretum, terraces and the UK’s widest yew tree – its a claim to fame!

There are lots of events for the family including easter Egg Hunt, Chick handling and lambing talks.

There is a lot of wildlife to spot as well!

A new children’s play area is due to open in 2026.

As well as the gardens and house there is a shop, restaurant, tea room, plant shop and a bookstore.

Dogs allowed in the garden on a short lead.

And dont forget in Winter there is the illuminations with a mile-long illuminated trail (with drinks and snacks) that weaves through the grounds along with light displays which are set to music.
