About St Andrews Botanic Garden

St Andrews Botanic Garden is set in 18 acres not too far from the centre of town.

There is much to see and help you relax with woodland walks, meadows, ponds and living laboratories.

You will also find rock garden, rhododendron glade, pond, pinetum (where pines grow) and the new Tangled Bank area.

And a meadow, play area, rhododendron garden and and dunes.

There is an accessible 1.2km loop. But some other areas are steep and have steps.

There is a visitor centre and gift shop with accessible toilet.

No cafe but it’s not far into the centre of St Andrews.

Assistance dogs only are allowed in the gardens.
