It really does have a fascinating history!
As for the garden it has evolved over the years with various owners adding their own unique stamp to the look and feel of the garden.
Now being restored by volunteers and they are doing an brilliant job.
There are many influences to be see from the Italianate, Arts & Crafts, Modernism and Mediterranean styles.
Take a walk and discover the walled garden, palm walk, stumpery, water tanks, pergola and hot house.
Pre-booked guided tours are available for up to 12 people.
And you can stay in the newly built Italian Garden House which looks amazing!
