About The Onion garden
The Onion Garden is the brainchild of founder Jens Jakobsen who has created a garden open to all.
Based in an unloved concreted area in Westminster it is a work in progress but one the whole community can enjoy.
It is a complete Container Garden built on top of Tube Lines District and Circle Lines only 10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey and Parliament.
It’s a space for gathering, connecting, enjoying, sharing, collaborating, inspiring and learning.
The cafe gets rave reviews for its coffee, pastries, soups and sandwiches.
They serve cocktails, wine & beer from midday.
Only fair to try them out!
It is also an area of tranquillity for humans a space for biodiverse wildlife.
And all in the heart of London!

This is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and serves serving coffee, juice, water, salads, sandwiches and a small selection of cakes.
