The Vyne House & Gardens is set in 9 hectares (about 22 acres!) of lakes, walled gardens and meadow.
The walled garden houses fruit and veggies and a dahlia border and the 17th Century summerhouse is the main focus of the formal gardens.
Most impressive, for me at least, is the Hundred Guinea Oak which is over 600 years old.
It is so called as a previous owner was overed 100 guineas for the timber. Fortunately he said no!
There is a wild garden and several self led trails to help you explore the grounds.
As well as the house and gardens there is also a Shop, a Tea Room and a Book Shop.
Dogs on leads are welcomed in the garden but not in the house, shop, servery or first floor of tearoom or the play area off the Lime Avenue.
