About Tyntesfield House & Gardens

Tyntesfield House & Gardens is a Gothic Revival house with garden set in a wider parklands.

There is a Rose Garden, Arboretum, Kitchen Garden, Terraces and Orangery with cut flowers.

The 540 acre estate offers ample opportunity to explore with trails, play areas, farmland, lots of wildlife to spot both in the air (owls) and in ponds (newts) as well as on land (badgers, hares)!

There are some superb views to be had as you walk around the grounds -get your camera or phone ready!

As well as the gardens, there is a Shop selling gifts and homewares, The Cow Barn Restaurant, a Cafe with outdoor seating, Second hand book store and three children’s play areas.

There are lots of special events taking place and indoor activities when it s wet.

Dogs are allowed in all areas apart from the Kitchen Gardens and House.

The house is open to be explored room by room.

“A fabulous house and extensive garden. Lots of different areas to explore (woods, formal gardens, rose gardens, arboretum, kitchen garden).

A large restaurant and shop near the entrance is available.”
