About the United States Botanic Garden
The United States Botanic Garden has plenty for you to see, enjoy and learn from.
The Conservatory is packed full of interesting plants and environments from the Tropics, a tropical forest, to the Primeval Garden taking you back 150 million years, the Mediterranean section showing all things plant and fruit to the Children’s Play Garden and Sensory Garden.
The Outdoor Gardens are similarly plentiful with unique areas such as the Rose Garden, Pollinator Garden & Water Garden.
Speaking of water don’t forget to check out the 2 acre Bartholdi Fountain and Gardens – spectacular!
As well as the gardens dinks and light snacks are available from Vintage Views.
Or bring your own food and have a picnic using the available tables and chairs!
And the West Gallery Gift Shop has Botanic Garden branded goods as well as house plants, candles, puzzles and books.
Leashed dogs are allowed in the garden but not the Conservatory.
Best Time to Visit the United States Botanic Garden
The best time for you to visit the United States Botanic Garden is, if you can time it right, to see The Corpse Flower (Amorphophallus Titanum).
Be warned though, it only blooms once every 2 to 3 years for 2 to 3 days!
