About Wentworth Woodhouse Gardens

Wentworth Woodhouse Gardens were previously part of the open cast mine but are now home to some very mature planting.

Explore the gardens and 50 acres of grounds which have year round interest from Snowdrops in Winter to Bluebells in Spring and Rhododendrons in Summer.

Watch out for the Ionic Temple and the plentiful wildlife.

Enjoy the David Austin Rose Garden, Camellia House and for the children there is the wonderfully named Forest of Bewilderment play area.

There is also a free activity sheet for the kids and a Wellbeing Guide for those seeking sanctuary!

You can take a self guided tour of the House or book a guided tour to really get al the history of the house and grounds.

You are well catered for food and drink options with Afternoon Teas served Friday to Sunday at the Long Gallery.

The Camellia House serves two and three course meals also from Friday to Sunday.

And the Butler’s Pantry Café in the house is free to anyone to enter to get some light bites or sweet treats.
