Westonbury Water Mill Garden is set in 5 acres around Curl Brook with many bridges crossing streams and ponds. Idyllic!

There are plenty of benches for you to rest on and enjoy the views and surrounding peace and quiet.

The garden is perhaps best known for its 3 follies – The Giant Cuckoo Clock (world’s largest water-powered cuckoo clock), Glass Bottle Dome and The Stone Water Tower.

Other Key features of the garden include:

The Big Pond – lots of moisture loving plants

The Cairn Garden – a series of small islands separated by a maze of narrow water channels

The Wild Flower Meadow – climb to the top of the Spiral Mound  to get the best view

The ‘Monet’ Bridge and Lily Pond – It really does look like one of his paintings!

The Water Mill Cafe – home cooked cakes, cream teas, quiches and salad and toasted sandwiches plus, of course, teas, coffees and soft drinks

Plant Nursery – pick up some plants to take home!

Dogs are allowed in the gardens on a short lead.

Don’t take our word for how special these gardens are. Here is what visitors to Westonbury Water Mill Garden had to say:

“A very good place for a day out. £7 entry for adults. Lovely gardens with lots of different paths so you don’t keep walking around with other people.

The talk about the water powered cuckoo clock at 10 to of every hour is definitely worth listening to and then seeing the world’s only water powered cuckoo clock in action on the hour.

The cafe served good food for lunch.”

“Great place , adults £7 , children £3. The family run small cottage cafe was brilliant ; can not fault the food.

Local produce , vegetarian option of sandwich’s and panini. Lovely local tea served the old traditional way .

Beautiful garden with a windmill water stream . Lovely surroundings with butterflies.”

“A really good place to visit, for its beautiful gardens, fascinating follies, but, most of all, its wonderful tea room.

Beautiful food, wonderful cakes and attentive staff. Highly recommended.”
