Find a Kitchen Garden near to you!
Kitchen Gardens, or potager gardens, were traditionally a space used for growing edible and occasionally medicinal plants for use by the home owners.
Typically these would be close to the main house and be enclosed by a wall which is why we often get walled gardens!
Today we often see kitchen garden produce being used to supply the cafes and restaurants of larger properties.
And, as they were in the older days, excess is sold to the general public. So keep an eye out for that locally grown produce!
Some of our favourite Kitchen Gardens are listed below such as the Culross Palace and Garden, Mount Stuart Garden and Buckland Abbey.
