About Amisfield Walled Garden

Amisfield Walled Garden just outside Haddington is one of Scotland’s biggest walled gardens and describes itself as ‘a local garden for community benefit‘.

It has a super mix of herbaceous borders, fruit and vegetable beds, an orchard, woodlland plans and a wildflower meadow.

And its free to enter and enjoy!

You will find something to see and enjoy throghout the year.

The garden is 8 acres in size and is enclosed by an impresive 16 foot (5m) wall with an ornamental circular pavilion in each corner.

Keep an eye open by the entrance gate for produce, plants and posies which are for sale with all proceeds going to help the development of the garden.

The aim of this community garden is to provide year round enjoyment and to encourage the volunteers gardens to learn a wide range of horticultural skills.
