About Belvoir Castle Gardens
Belvoir Castle Gardens, designed by Harold Peto, are a lovely place to visit with four distinct areas to enjoy.
There are the Formal Gardens with impressive statues, the Japanese Woodlands with plenty of magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias, the Duchess Garden which is a bit of a hidden garden with great views over the new pond and the Hermits Garden compete with Victorian Grottoes.
The 500 acre woodlands, now restored to Capability Brown’s designs, are ready for you to explore with the superb views he planned.
The Adventure Playground offer a safe environment for kids of all ages with a Zip Line, Slides, Play Structures, a Toddlers Area and Picnic Area.
Refreshments are available from The Aviary Tearoom with sandwiches, teas, coffee and scones and you can take an Afternoon Tea in the Castle.
There is plenty else to see at Belvoir from tours of the Castle, a visit to the Animal Park and plenty of shopping at the Retail Village.
Watch out for events like the The Flower and Garden Show in July.
