About Chirk Castle and Garden

Chirk Castle and Garden is set in nearly 500 cares of grounds with the main gardens being five acres in size.

The garden has a number of areas to enjoy from the Kitchen Garden, Rose Garden, Pleasure Ground Wood, Shrub garden and a number of Ha-Ha’s.

Planting throughout the year includes Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Daffodils, Irises, Dierama and Anemone.

Watch out for the spectacularly manicured Yew Hedge.

There is an accessible, wheelchairs and pushchairs, trail you can follow around the gardens.

The Castle dates from the 13th Century and guided tours are available with a number of rooms open for viewing.

These include Adam Tower, State Room, Library, Chapel and the Kitchen.

There is a Cafe, in the Castle’s Kitchens, Shop, Plant Shop and second hand bookstore.

There is a Play Area for the children and Easter Trail Walks!
