About Clumber Park Gardens
Clumber Park Gardens is a National Trust garden and the Walled kitchen garden covers 4 acres with the longest Glasshouse in National Trust care.
More importantly, in my opinion, Clumber Park is also home to the national collections of Rhubarb and Apple! Crumbletastic!
Using no dig techniques and an organic approach the kitchen gardens supply the cafes on site and are sold to visitors.
Kitchen Garden highlights include the rose garden, herb garden, borders and soft fruit garden.
The estate itself is vast with 3,800 acres and 20 miles of trails to explore. Bring a bike or hire one on site!
And key features include the 2 mile long lime tree avenue – with 1296 trees!
And the Grade II listed Ornamental bridge leading from the lake up to a former Palladian-style house.
There is plenty of wildlife to spot like the buzzards, great spotted woodpeckers, jays, woodlarks and long horned cattle.
Charge up your phone as its a gret place for photos!
And lots of natural play areas for the kids.
As well as the gardens there is a Shop, Cafe, Dog Cafe, Plant Shop, Kiosk and a Bookshop. All housed in the Turning Yard and Laundry Yard visitor centre.
Dogs are welcome in the gardens and even has a dog-friendly café, the wonderfully named, Central Bark.
Watch out for snowman events at Christmas!
