About Floors Castle Gardens
Floors Castle Gardens is situated close to Kelso in the Scottish borders.
The 4 acre Walled Garden is the showpiece feature packed with interest from fruits, herbs, vegetables, herbaceous borders, stumpery, glasshouse and the Tapestry Garden.
There are plenty of paths to follow and explore the site or sit on a bench in a quiet area and listen to the bubbling fountains.
Take a walk to the formal Millennium Garden, created in the French Parterre style.
The Star Plantation is packed with snowdrops, bluebells and rhododendrons and at its heart is a wrought iron seat by a lime tree.
Take some time to calm down and relax!
If you fancy a longer walk, or cycle, then follow the waymarked trails through the woodlands in the wider grounds.
Or stroll down by the River Tweed. Can you spot any salmon rising?
As well as the gardens there is the The Apple Shed shop selling homewares and food direct from Floors Castle.
And you can take a splendid Afternoon Tea, booking 48 hours ahead required, and eat at the Terrace Café and Courtyard Café.
Dogs welcome on a lead.
You can visit the Castle as well, which is home to the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe.
Not all rooms are accessible and there is a no photograph policy.
There are events held at various times througout the year so the gardens may be closed. Check before you travel.
