Created in 1990 the Gotha Gardens are a wonderful mix of woodland and wildlife walks (great for kids), rose gardens (over 150 varieties), ever changing spaces, a topiary and more formal gardens. Wow!
Keep an eye out in the summer for the many butterflies.
And a lot of people comment how the garden is a good size for walking with plenty of seating to pause and take in the scenic views.
As someone commented ‘ Good place to read a book and relax.’ Sound like heaven!
The owners do request you don’t have picnic in the grounds which is a shame but its their choice and should be respected.

Dogs are very welcome as long as they are on leads – and a lot of people have said how dog friendly the gardens are.
Also, keep an eye out for their Artisan Candlery and Niche Perfumery in the gift shop.

The Gotha Garden Café is open the same hours as the gardens but do check in case special events are in place.
The menu is classic and modern French/Italian with lots of choice of fresh, seasonal organic ingredients.
And always a selection of fresh, homemade cakes!
Vegetarian options are always available but not vegan.
There is a very good selection of fresh hot coffees and teas.
Speak to the staff regarding any food intolerance issues.
It is recommended that you book where possible.
