About Helmingham Hall Gardens

Helmingham Hall Gardens are set in the deer park with the wonderful backdrop of the moated Hall.

From the classic Parterre, Walled Kitchen Garden, Orchard, Borders with bridges seats and tunnels to explore.

While not strictly organic the gardens are maintained with an ethos of no chemicals.

Tranquil is a word you would use to describe how the gardens make you feel.

For me what sets these gardens apart is the abundance of wildlife the parks are able to support.

From hedgehogs, frogs, toads, deer, birds both native and migratory, butterflies, crickets, bees, grasshoppers and dragonflies.

And that is just the start!

As well as the Hall and Gardens there are some smashing shops in the Stable area selling homegrown produce and plants.

There are also locally made crafts and homewares and lifestyle products.

And after a good walk head to Wright’s Cafe for some posh cheese toasties, tea, coffee, snacks and cakes.

Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed in the gardens – rules out my dog then!

Assistance dogs are allowed everywhere of course!

There are many events held in the gardens so keep an eye out for those throughout the year.

At Christmas time watch out for the magical illuminated lights, food and drinks event!
