High Beeches Gardens is a beautiful hillside gardens which offer a peaceful woodland escape in the heart of Sussex. Visitors love the tranquil atmosphere, vibrant seasonal displays and natural, uncommercial feel.

Well-signposted grassy and gravel paths guide you through the grounds, with plenty of benches tucked away for quiet moments of rest. A map is provided on arrival to help you explore with ease.

About High Beeches Gardens

High Beeches Gardens is a 27 acre woodland garden packed with award winning exotic planting.

The gardens feature camellias, magnolias, narcissi and daffodils in Spring to Rhododendrons, Azaleas and abundant wildflower meadows in the Summer.

In Autumn there is a spectacular display of colour from the Acers, Liquidambers, Nyssas, Fothergillas and Disanthus.

There are plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the small lakes and streams buzzing with wildlife!

And great views across the Sussex Wealds.

Refreshments are available at the garden entrance including tea, coffee, homemade cakes and ice cream.

You can have a picnic in the picnic area and can book a picnic hamper ahead of your visit.

You can probably see most of the gardens in a couple of hours. And then get some cake!!

Accessibility at High Beeches Gardens

The gardens are pretty uneven so are not accessible to wheelchair users.

Dogs at High Beeches Gardens

Dogs on leads are allowed in the gardens on Mondays only. Not Bank Holidays though.
