About Knightshayes Gardens
Knightshayes Gardens are set in the 262 acres of the wider parkland from which you get amazing views across the Devonshire countryside.
With a stupendous walled Kitchen Garden there are a number of smaller gardens in the wood as well as paved gardens and terraces.
As well as the house and gardens there is a cafe with hot & cold drinks, sandwiches & light snacks, a shop selling gifts, plants shop and a second hand bookstore.
The arboretum with its towering oaks and sequoia’s is also home to a bulb meadow show during Spring and early Summer.
During winter don’t miss out on the illuminated route through the Formal Garden and see the house lit up all festive like!
There are trails for children at various times of the year.
Dogs on short leads are welcome in the gardens, cafe, shop and bookshop.
There is also the Gothic house to tour and a Gothic stable yard built in the late 1870”s.

Don’t take our word for how special these gardens are. Here is what visitors to Knightshayes Gardens had to say:
“Wow, we couldn’t believe how large the gardens were, and looking absolutely stunning with a large variety of colourful plants in full summer bloom. “
“The grounds feature delightful surprises throughout, including hidden clearings and impressive viewpoints across the Devon countryside.”
“There is so much to see and experience here, plenty of walks around a sizeable estate and for the not so energetic much shorter walks around the formal gardens, both of which will deliver relaxation by the bucketload!”
“Winter wildlife adds to the charm, with robins and other native birds visible among the trees.”
