About Lamorran House Gardens
Lamorran House Gardens are set on the outskirts of the super lovely and popular village of St Mawes.
They describe themselves as ‘a subtropical, Italianate inspired garden on Cornwall’s beautiful Roseland peninsula.’ Which is fair comment!
Due to its location and unique climate, frost free since 1987, there is an emphasis on southern hemisphere and sub-tropical flora.
The garden is split into various compartments such as the woodland area, a water garden in Japanese style, a small bridge on which to lean and look out over the bay exhibiting a distinctly Venetian influence.
There is also a rose garden, rock garden and a walled garden and a notable collection of palms and tree ferns.
And can you spot the Koi Carp?
La Terrazza, at the top of the garden, is open for the serving of light refreshments and drinks on normal opening times/days.
Dogs are allowed in the gardens but please keep them on a short lead.
