About Marchington Open Gardens

Ideal for a walk & a bite to eat
Marchington Open Gardens was started in 2015 and has now spread into a two day festival celebrating the many aspects of village life.

The gardens are open for two days and are a mix of formal borders, trees, planters, traditional and modern styles.

Enjoy a walk through the village and pop into the community shop to help support the village.

Refreshments are available including a breakfast BBQ at the community shop – great idea!

There will be an RAF fly past on both days subject to weather conditions!

Proceeds

All proceeds go towards supporting the Community Shop which run by volunteers

Tickets

Programmes and wristbands will be available from Marchington Community Shop and selected gardens on the day.

Refreshments

You will be pleased to know that refreshments are available throughout the village at several locations.

These include ploughmans lunch, teas, cakes scones, cream teas, ice cream and a BBQ breakfast from the community shop.

Plant sales

Plants will sold on both days of the event at some of the gardens.

Marchington Festival

The open gardens are part of the Marchington Festival so there will be added attractions such as the dog show, food, live music, craft fair and art exhibitions.

Toilet Facilities

Toilets are available at the event.

Accessability

Many of the gardens are accessible by wheelchair users. Check the map for details.

Directions & Parking

There are free shuttle buses you can use to get around the village.
Please use the designated car park on arrival at Silver Lane recreation ground.
