About Minterne Garden
Minterne Garden is today made up of a series of small lakes and cascades created by the small stream being dammed up.
There is a trail landscaped in the style of Capability Brown, of about a mile long resplendent with Himalayan Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
With snowdrops in winter, bluebells in spring and azaleas and hydrangeas in summer plus the water cascades there is always something to see.
Access by wheelchair is not really possible and do wear appropriate shoes.
Picnics can be taken but please leave as you find!
For other refreshments the Tea Terrace opens Daily, serving homemade light lunches, cakes and Cream Teas.
Generally well behaved dogs are welcome in the gardens on a short lead.

The variety of plants, trees and flowers is amazing with all the different colours.
The river walk is stunning with all the mini waterfalls and the big bridge at the end.
“There was a Himalayan hut and gorgeous riverside walk as well as a Japanese pagoda. All so serene! “
